Sealed concrete coating with excellent chemical resistance for automotive facility
Brief Description
A new car body shop was to be constructed on an existing industrial estate, where a conversion of an existing building was required to ensure the floor surface was non-dusting and durable to withstand regular vehicle movements.
Over 1500m² of floor area was to be treated.
Problems and Requirements
The concrete surface was dusting, which created an unhygienic working environment.
As part of the overall fit-out, a dust sealing coating was required to a specific British Standard 4800 colour to meet the clients design criteria for a state of the art facility.
A number of spray booths were to be in use and the floor coating needed to be chemically resistant to a number of solvent based chemicals, which from part of the working operation.
