High performance resin floor installation with minimum business downtime
Brief Description
After much consultation with various manufacturers and installers, Remmers was chosen to produce a suitable flooring system to resurface over 15,000m² at an automotive engineering centre in Whitely, Coventry.
Problems and Requirements
The design brief was to provide a new resin flooring surface that was easy to clean, and boasted excellent slip and scratch resistance. In addition, a silk finish that was also resistant to the chemical stains associated with a very busy automotive engineering facility was also demanded from the client.
The proposed system was installed as a working sample for client testing and approval.
Due to the high volume of fast paced work that is carried out at the facility, the installation of the new resin floor needed to be carried out over a four day schedule, ensuring that only one working shift was lost throughout each phase of the refurbishment.
The recommended installer was required to adhere to the stringent waste management policy utilised by the client throughout the project.
