Brief Description
A world leading automotive component company were extending their facility to allow the company to meet increased demand for car seating foam, doubling its production capacity.
Problems and Requirements
Specialist preparation was necessary to remove the existing finish and clean the concrete of contamination. The surface required lots of repairs with bolt holes to be filled so the machine equipment could be repositioned.
The client also required a hard wearing finish, which could be cleaned easily, whilst improving the slip resistance and bringing the flooring up to the standards that were displayed throughout the facility.
Due to a tight programme of works, there was a small window of application and curing time before the floors had to be put into use. This, along with other trades working in close proximity, meant that a solvent free, low odour resin was essential.
The unique accelerated Remmers Epoxy Coating PH was selected which is a fast curing product that allows foot traffic use in four hours.
