Slip resistance resin floor for safety under foot in demanding drinks production
Brief Description
This manufacturing, bottling and distribution facility in Northern Ireland required an anti-slip floor coating solution as part of its cyclical maintenance programme.
With the facility employing approximately 600 people and producing approximately 1.5-million litres of soft drink beverages every day, it was imperative to provide a safe environment to work in.
Problems and Requirements
A slip resistant resin floor coating was required for the wet areas, walkways and roads throughout the facility. Trials of the materials were carried out, which determined a detailed schedule and programme of works.
The surfaces were prepared by shot blasting and grinding before the application of Remmers Epoxyflex PH coating system. Various colours were utilised to create designated working areas as well as the necessary line marking throughout the facility.
