Specially designed resin floor to prevent ponding of spillages
Brief Description
A toll spray drying facility in Wales required a refurbishment to their floors in the main production area within their factory. The existing flooring was a combination of old rough concrete, previously painted concrete and past resin flooring which was in need of restoration as soon as possible.
Problems and Requirements
The new resin floor finishes needed to be slip resistant and have good chemical resistance, whilst being attractive and highly durable.
The existing slab required significant repair and cross falls to be created to take spillages away to a new drainage system that was also to be installed.
Fast curing Epoxy screeds were used to an exacting standard to avoid ponding. This was a very skilled operation as the Epoxy Quick system has a very limited pot life.
